Stout - Our Frisbee Catching Dachshund

Stout is a very talented Dachshund. Despite being from a breed not known for their retrieving ability (actually, they don't retrieve at all), Stout was a retriever from day one.

Maybe it was the bright colors or the silky feel... but when he got his first frisbee, it was love at first sight.

The first step to becoming a frisbee catching Dachshund was Stout standing 3 or 4 feet from me and I would toss him the frisbee and he would catch it. Next, and this was the only hard part, I taught him how to run out before I threw it. The rest is Dachshund history...
